ShielaK is an amazing artist! Her singing career began by singing lead and backup vocals for Serpent Band (formerly known as TruePa Band), a team of musicians that all attended college together in Rizal, a province outside Manila, The Philippines. But early on her life, ShielaK truly got her start as a singer in the church choir at Iglesia Ni Cristo Church in Rizal when she was four years old.
ShielaK won a variety of singing contests in elementary and high school. In college, she was selected as soprano 1 in the prestigious Glee Club at New Era University, Quezon City. As she continued her college life in the province of Rizal, ShielaK made a variety of guest appearances, including as a celebrity judge for two consecutive years for a local university’s version of “The Voice” competition.
In January 2018, ShielaK resigned her work as a human resources professional to pursue her music aspirations. She immediately became affiliated with Alab at Sinag, a global artistry collective based in Metro Manila. She began performing at a variety of Metro Manila venues.
ShielaK enjoyed critical acclaim when she wrote, composed and recorded the highly-charged “No Regrets” and wildly affectionate “Meant to Be” singles. The latter song she dedicated to her fiance, Kraig Kleeman.
ShielaK and American Kraig Kleeman began dating in 2017 and formally announced their engagement in April 2018. Together, they teamed up to produce a variety of music videos and social media partnerships. Most notably, their partnership with Filipino funny-man Japer Sniper resulted in a collaboration on the single “Paglalayag“, which became ShielaK’s breakout moment.
ShielaK and Kraig Kleeman continue their collaborative work producing KraigandShielaK, a series of vlogs of their global travels and unmistakable love and affection for each other.
